Sister Ruth H. Bailey was the epitome of a virtuous woman according to Proverbs 31.  To know her was to love her. The Harvest Round-Up was a special day she looked forward to with great joy.  In the beginning she asked for $1 per day for your birth month since it was the last annual day of the year.  This was a day that everyone could participate.

Harvest time is a time of reflection and thanksgiving. “Then saith he unto the disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few”.  (Matthew 9:37)   In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. (I Thessalonians 5:18) Whatever you are going through, whether good or bad, pause, take a look around and give thanks.  The bible teaches us that you will reap what you sow.  If you plant an apple tree, you will get apples likewise, if you plant a lemon tree, you will get lemons.  So be careful of the seeds you sow, because it is coming up again.   God promised us in Genesis 8:22 “While earth remaineth, seed time and harvest and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”.
